Jai Lava Kusa starring Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao or Jr. NTR, Raashi Khanna and Nivetha Thomas in lead roles is directed by Bobby Ravindra. For the first time in his career, Jr. NTR is donning three roles that has both negative and positive shades. There are many firsts in Jai Lava Kusa. Taraka is being directed by Bobby and pairing up with Raashi Khanna and Nivetha Thomas for the first time. It is also the first time that Kalyan Ram is producing a movie with his brother Tarak under Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Arts banner. The music and background score for Jai Lava Kusa is rendered by Devi Sri Prasad while cinematography is being handled by Chota.K.Naidu. Ronit Roy is making his debut in Tollywood with Jai Lava Kusa. Nanditha Raj, Hamsa Nandhini, Priyadarshi, Abhimanyu Singh and Sai Kumar are among the rest of the cast.Tamannah is seen in a special appearance for a song. With huge expectations surrounding the flick, let’s see if the team of Jai Lava Kusa could meet the expectations of the audience.
Jai, Lava, and Kusa are brothers. Jai has a stammering problem since his birth and is ignored by his family members while Lava and Kusa enjoy special status for their impeccable acting skills for stage shows. Due to this reason, Jai develops hatred towards his brothers. Due to unforeseen incidents, all the brothers get separated after the death of their mother. Jai grows up to become an evil-natured person while Lava is a soft-hearted guy and becomes a bank manager by profession. Kusa grows up and becomes a thief who can do anything for money. How they meet and realize the purity of their relationship forms the rest of story.
Taraka as Jai, Lava, and Kusa completely dominated the proceedings. With Jai Lava Kusa, Taraka has explored his acting capabilities to the fullest and this movie will be a milestone in his career. Raashi Khanna is majorly seen in the first half and Nivetha Thomas has more screen presence in the second half. They both suit their roles well. Nanditha Raj and Hamsa Nandhini were decent in short roles. Sai Kumar was fantastic in the role of Jai’s henchman. Priyadarshi and Ronit Roy were good. Tamannah sizzled in the item song.
Bobby Ravindra is back in form with Jai Lava Kusa. After his last debacle, Sardar Gabbar Singh, Bobby has taken all the precautions – he has gotten the right script and has executed it to perfection. Music, background score, and cinematography have certainly helped Bobby’s narration. Editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao and Thammi Raju is good. The production values are grand.
