Woo hoo! January is jazzy and fantabulous!
A brand new year with everything fresh, fun and funky. Speaking of fresh and funky… the covers of this month’s glossies is perfectly in sync with the spirit of the New Year. And why not? The beautiful leading ladies of Bollywood look utterly alluring in the covers. Salute girl power!
Passionate, prolific and graceful – these are the exact words that describe Vidya Balan. For this month’s Filmfare, Vidya Balan transforms into an exotic femme fatale. She graces the cover in a Golden Yellow Wendell Rodricks‘ top and a Red skirt by Nikasha. She accessorized her outfit with a chunky Suhani Pittie neckpiece. The cover girl talks about marriage, her obsession and Khajuraho. Don’t miss the issue. If Vidya Balan is seduction personified, Alia Bhatt is like a breath of fresh air! She looks mint-fresh in a Turquoise and Gold ensemble, topped with a Louis Vuitton head-wrap and bangles from Ishrayathe on the cover of Elle. Retro chic all the way. Wham-Bam-Glam is the word for Nargis Fakhri on the L’Officiel cover. She beautiful and dramatic in the sunset-colored Gucci dress from the Gucci Resort 2014 collection. Envy her? Well, we sure do.
‘From serial kisser to being taken seriously’- reads the headline of The Man, featuring Emraan Hashmi. Absolute charmer, ain’t he? He looks dapper in casual chinos and a classic navy blue sweater. Simple and sophisticated. Guess who looks smokin’ hot in Gucci? Imran Khan is looking better then ever on the cover of Noblesse. He donned a camel-colored Gucci blazer teamed with a white shirt. And we totally dig his look, head to toe – Mr. Yummsome at his best. For this month’s CineBlitz, Ranbir Kapoor is following Salman Khan’s footsteps by flaunting his toned body. CineBlitz calls this hunk a ‘Game changer’, and we are sure he will live up to this tag.
Bringing out the ‘oomph’ factor with sheer elegance, is Deepika Padukone on the covers of Stardust. She looks simply stunning in a sequin-embellished midnight blue dress. The sexy look is topped up with soft beach curls and a bling ring. Kangana Ranaut is the Vogue cover girl for January. She looks ravishing in a pristine white T-shirt and lace pencil skirt from Burberry Prorsum Resort 2014 collection. She is aptly tagged by Vogue as Fashion’s feistiest icon. Traveller’s cover girl, Sonam Kapoor looks the perfect wanderlust in a floral skirt by Shift.
Salman Khan keeps it simple on this month’s Stardust Style. Donning a Captain America T-shirt and black shiny biker jacket, it seems like Salman is not in a mood to make any fashion faux pas. Hello’s January cover celebrates the flamboyant world of Bollywood with the fantastic five – Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padulone and Kangana Ranaut on its cover. And the five look totally glamorous. Kunal Kapoor on the cover of Youth Incorporated looks intense and in deep thought. Intelligence is sure attractive. But again, why so serious, hottie?
The leggy-lass Shruthi Hassan graces the cover of this month’s Cosmopolitan. She looks racy in a black strapless Michael Kors top and bright orange Pankaj and Nidhi skirt. What we don’t like much is her metallic nail color and popping pink pout. However, we heart Anushka Sharma’s look on the Filmfare cover. She looks bright and happy in a yellow Pankaj and Nidhi coat dress. ‘The Lunchbox’ leading lady Nimrat Kaur looks happy-go-lucky in a floral dress. She is smiles all over.
Shilpa Shetty looks kind of… may we say, tacky, in the gaudy maroon outfit on the cover of Hi! Blitz. Sometimes too much is just too much! Deepika Padukone looks perfectly-sculpted in a figure-hugging red dress on the cover of Women’s Health. And no one does the perfect beach hair other than her. It seems like floral prints are the rage this season. Sporting a white Dolce & Gabbana floral white dress, Shraddha Kapoor looks lovely on the cover of Femina Hindi. Simply pretty.
Nargis Fakhri looks mysteriously stunning on the Femina cover. We really liked her ensemble of chunky jewelry and dramatic eyes. Vaani Kapoor, who played the demure girl-next-door in her debut film Shuddh Desi Romance reveals her wild side (ahem… ahem) on FHM. Good girl gone bad… look out for this sassy lady, guys!
