The phenomenon called Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is already breaking records even before it hits the big screen. The trailer for all the four languages was released just five days ago on the 16th of March and it has created quite a frenzy among fans. The response this film's prequel had has no doubt led to the sequel becoming a sensation even before its release. Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) grossed over INR 600 crores at the worldwide box-office and the sequel is most likely to shatter all the records. But did you know these things about Baahubali 2?
Massive budget of the second film
At the trailer launch meet in Mumbai, the makers of the film mentioned that the combined budget of the films were approximately INR 400-450 crores, which is humongous for an Indian film and especially one that is not originally a Bollywood film. Reports suggest that the film has raked in INR 500 crores globally through its satellite and distribution rights even before the film release.
With a budget that big, the makers will surely expect to rake in the moolah.
The first part to be re-released
For all those fans who want to experience the first part on the big screen again and those who missed this amazing experience the first time, the makers will be re-releasing it two-three weeks before the second part hits the screen, on 28th of April, 2017.
Rana Daggubati's beefier look
Rana, who plays the role of Bhallala Deva in the film, shared a picture of himself in October last year and it took the internet by storm. The actor looked massive, meaner and stronger. He underwent rigorous training to achieve this chiselled physique, which we cannot wait to see in the Baahubali sequel.
11th film for Rajamouli
Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) was the director S S Rajamouli's 10th film. His 9th film was Eega (2012), a fantasy drama that was very well received at the box office. The director has been fully invested in the Baahubali series as it took nearly two years of dedication and focus on the director's part in making his entire cast, crew and production houses believe in the franchise and that the second part will be an even bigger success.
Parts of the second film shot simultaneously with the first
Interestingly, most parts of the second film were shot simultaneously with the first part.
