When Karan asked Zoya what she felt about being admired and desired by so many actors and directors from the industry, she gives a saucy reply.
When asked how the year had been for the directors, this is what they had to say.
Kabir pointed out that when unique films do well at the box office and manage a good box office collection, it allows the filmmaker to make more such films and be creative. Imtiaz agreed and added how the industry and the audience are opening up to new and unique ideas, which helps filmmakers to experiment and create fresh content. Zoya also mentioned films such as Neerja, Kapoor & Sons, Dangal, and Sairat that she thought were unique and amazing.
This somewhat assured us that there’s still hope and we might just get to see some interesting work that wouldn't seem like the same run-of-the-mill movies.
What Kabir had to say about creative adjustments and working with Salman Khan.
“I did it initially but then I realized that it’s not going to work. I was not happy. I didn’t have a tight grip on the film. Now either we can take two different sensibilities and clash with each other or we can blend those sensibilities and eventually go towards the same goal. That’s what happened with Bajrangi.”
Their reaction to reviews when Karan said that he has a disease for reading reviews.
Zoya spoke about how critics try to be extra nasty or interesting in order to compete with each other or make headlines. While doing that they forget to read between the lines which doesn’t translate into the reviews or the rating. Kabir also felt the same and said that a reviewer should have a holistic approach and not be biased to a particular genre while reviewing a film. On the other hand, Imtiaz said he has completely given up on reading reviews and it doesn’t matter to him as long as the film manages to cover up the production cost.
When asked which actor is always punctual/late, their responses were:
Zoya’s response when she had to choose what Farhan is famous for.
The advice that Zoya would like to give the censor board.
When asked this simple question.
These were few of the best moments that set the tone of the episode. If you haven't checked it out yet, do watch it and let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
