Labyrinth – Johnny Depp to solve Tupac and Biggie’s Murder

On 7th September, 1996, Tupac was shot four times at a drive-by in Las Vegas, Nevada and six days later, he died because of his injuries. Months later on 7th March, Christopher Wallace a.k.a Notorious B.I.G was shot four times in a drive-by in Las Vegas, California; he died an hour later. Deaths of these hip-hop legends hit the industry hard. These cases are high-profile murder cases that remain unsolved till today.
To solve this case, Russell Poole, an LAPD homicide investigator was appointed, who spent months on the case before discovering that the case not just involves the rivalry between the West coast and East coast rapper but it’s far more complicated than that. He also collected evidence against his own department and that gave rise to the Los Angeles Police Scandal. If you are intrigued by this, then you might want to read the book Labyrinth written by an acclaimed journalist Randall Sullivan to know the nitty-gritty of this case.
But, if you don’t have the patience to read up on this, we have good news for you. This book is now going to be adapted into a film and Johnny Depp has been signed to play the role of the investigator. And to add to that, Brad Furman, the director of the film The Lincoln Lawyer, will be directing this film. Let’s hope that through this film we all will be able to make some sense out of this over-complex case.
So far, the trailer launch or the film release dates have not been announced yet. But, don’t you worry – watch this space for more info!
