Lesser-Known Songs of Hit Albums

While 2014 belonged to Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith, it was Taylor Swift and The Weeknd all the way in 2015. Some of the songs from Ed’s album, X managed to reach peak position on various charts in 2015, and Thinking Out Loud saw a drop in ranking. Coming to Taylor’s 1989, many songs topped charts, and the singer is tipped to win the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. Though both albums were hits, not all songs made it to the charts. Here are some of the songs that were a part of successful albums, but went unnoticed:

All You Had To Do Was Stay – 1989
Taylor Swift’s 1989 was one of the top-selling albums of last year, and the songs, Blank Space and Wildest Dreams were on top of various charts. All You Had To Do Was Stay was another number on love and heartbreak but didn’t receive the popularity it deserved.

Make You Miss Me – Montevallo
Sam Hunt’s debut album, Montevallo has made him one of the most promising singers in recent times. While Take Your Time and House Party made it to the Billboard Hot 100, the fantastic song, Make You Miss Me failed to make the cut.

Million Years Ago – 25
If you have been following the latest in popular music, you’ve definitely heard the track, Hello. The song from Adele’s latest album, 25 is playing everywhere. Almost every song on the album deals with heartbreak but nothing works as well as Million Years Ago. The singer is exceptional on this one, and the lyrics leave you teary-eyed. Now only if the song gets more recognition.

Even My Dad Does Sometimes – X
Thinking Out Loud from X is referred to as one of the most popular love songs in recent times. The song Even My Dad Does Sometimes was another ace, but went unnoticed; thanks to Thinking Out Loud and Photograph.

Never Be Alone – Handwritten
The 17-year-old Canadian is making waves with his song, Stitches. It was among the Top 10 on Billboard and made Shawn Mendes an overnight star. We hope the other songs, especially Never Be Alone, get their due this year.
