They Came, They Raved, They Loved, ‘Leaving the World Behind’ from ‘Miami to Ibiza’ and around the world. The talented trio, Swedish House Mafia was the face of Progressive House music for 5 complete years. The EDM super-group was a trio of Disc jockeys and producers, Axwell, Angelo and Ingrosso. They ruled the House and Electro-House scene since SHM was born in 2008. They were ranked #10 on the DJ magazine Top 100 DJ poll. But as all good things come to an end, so did the trio’s tenure together as Swedish House Mafia. The much-talked-about One Last Tour took place in 2013, and broke millions of hearts all over the world. They also released their final album, Until Now and split ways to continue on individual ventures.
But the One Last Tour hasn’t stopped Ingrosso and Axwell to revive the magic that SHM had once spinned together on stage. Axwell and Ingrosso have since given birth to Departures, the love child of Axwell and Ingrosso. Departures is a night club in Miami, Ibiza where they perform every Wednesday during the Summers. It began as a journey under the moon and the stars, with planes flying overhead, providing an escape from their mundane lives. They were hence joined by guest DJs Zedd, Dirty South, Tommy Thrash, Alesso and Anthony Atalla. The duo dissolved their individual Facebook pages and opened “DEPARTURES /\\ AXWELL /\\ SEBASTIAN INGROSSO” as a common fanpage. Departures was the most talked about parties in 2013, where the house was filled with Progressive House, Electro House, Current Electronic Music, spinned by an amazing line-up of DJs.
Steve Angelo, 1/3 of what SHM used to be, is working on his Size Records brand as his sole venture, whereas, Axwell and Ingrosso have remained busy as ever since the trio split up. They are working on their solo projects as well as Departures, and have been performing at Tomorrowland in Germany, Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas and V Festival in UK. The split up was a move that worked in their favor. They’ve thence amassed separate identities as well as started new ventures. Axwell has been nominated twice for a Grammy and Ingrosso is producing and also playing House music for all his followers. So, ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ Axwell and Ingrosso have a plan for you.
