The entire concept of a new year resolution is still very unclear to us since most of us make resolutions only for the thrill of it. After a thorough research on the internet, we have come to a conclusion that although many try to stick to them, most give up in the initial days itself. Did you ever wonder why? Well, the main reason could be the resolution itself. Maybe you never meant to follow through, to begin with. So our article today is to help you with the kind of resolutions you should NOT make in order to be able to stick to them till the end of the year. So according to us, here are the categories you could totally skip when you are deciding on a resolution for yourself.

"I will hit the gym 5 times a week"

Unless you're a workout freak who religiously likes to work out, this is not going to happen. So don't convince yourself and then be disappointed.

"I will spend more time with family"

Very noble thought, but leave it just at that, my friend. With the kind of schedule you've had, if you haven't been able to do it in the past, you probably won't be able to do it in the future either. So save yourself from false promises.

"I will avoid junk food"

We assume most of you who are reading this are either college students or working people. Either way, post college binging and team lunches can't really be avoided so 'no junk' is not going to happen.

"I will lose weight"

So, turns out losing weight is not as easy as making a resolution. You need to follow a diet, exercise every day and the results will take while a show. You might just give up on your resolution by then. So think this one through.

"I will travel more"

Sounds like a great idea if you have all the money in the world, no job to go to, no loans to repay and no expenses to take care of.  Now that you're back to reality, let us tell you the only traveling you can afford is to the bar next to your place to have a drink. And that's not as bad.

Good luck with your resolutions. Also, wish you a Happy New Year!
