Verdict: Nani style commercial entertainer.
Dil Raju has been on a roll this year. All the five movies that he produced this year were super hits. This time he is back again with his Nenu Local hero Nani and the Fidaa heroine Sai Pallavi and the O My Friend director Venu Sriram. MCA is touted to be a commercial entertainer, complete with Nani's touch of comedy. The music and the background score have been rendered by Devi Sri Prasad, while cinematography has been handled by Sameer Reddy. Edited by Prawin Pudi, let’s see if MCA joins the double hat trick club for Dil Raju.
What’s MCA – Middle Class Abbayi About:
Nani and Rajeev Kanakala are brothers who share a great bonding. Since they don’t have parents, his elder brother Rajeev is everything for him. But equations change when Jyothi (Bhumika Chawla) enters their house as Rajeev’s wife. Nani is not given enough attention and importance that he is used to getting and this irritates him. Jyothi works as an RTA officer and is posted at Warangal. Nani accompanies her on the insistence of his brother. Pallavi (Sai Pallavi) is Jyothi's cousin and falls in love with Nani at first sight. They both love each other and circumstances lead her to Nani’s house. Shiva (Vijay) is a ruthless villain and owns many travel buses that he runs without permissions and basic security. This leads to an accident that claims several lives. Jyothi confronts with Shiva and orders to seize all his illegal buses.
Nani is as usual at his best and has excelled in the role of a middle-class boy. Sai Pallavi is cute and has performed well. She is exceptionally good with the dances. Bhumika makes a good comeback and is the main character in this movie. Aamani is seen after a long time and is decent in a short role. Vijay makes his debut as a villain and is fantastic with subtle emotions. Priyadarsi, Venella Kishore, Naresh, Rajeev Kanakala and others were apt in the roles they portrayed. The background score is fantastic. The cinematography is excellent and all frames looked great. The production values from this movie made under the Dil Raju banner is, as usual, at its best.
What Could Have Been Better:
Though the movie is decent with no boring elements, the narration is bit routine and the placement of songs acts as a speed-breaker. Nevertheless, it is a decent watch for viewers who don’t mind watching routine flicks that entertains them.
Why You Should Watch This Movie:
Watch MCA – Middle Class Abbayi for its entertaining elements blended with good comedy and emotions. For Nani and Sai Pallavi fans, it is a must watch.
