Meet the Suicide Squad

There is no doubt about the fact that when it comes to epic and memorable villains, DC takes the cake and even the cherry on top. We have seen superheroes team up and fight against the villain and it takes a team to defeat them. When super villains are forcefully teamed up and asked to do the work of the heroes. The concept itself presented intrigue and interest since it was introduced in the year 1959. Make no mistake, these villains are not doing this of their free will, they have been forced to do this unless they want to meet a horrid death by the chip which is transplanted in their bodies, hence the name Suicide Squad.
Since its announcement, there has been a lot of excitement around the movie. There have been various animated and TV series adaptations of this team and all of them have been equally appreciated by the audience. With the latest release of the footage, the excitement seems to be piling up. Without further delay, let us give you the glimpse of the team that you will be meeting in the theatres.

Amanda Waller (Viola Davis)

Suicide Squad - BookMyShowNo, she is not the super villain. She is the head of A.R.G.U.S., which is the DC counterpart of S.H.I.E.L.D. and is well-known for its dubious methods when it comes to ‘saving the people’. She is the one who comes up with the idea of threatening the imprisoned villains to form a squad to capture other villains.

Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman)

Suicide Squad - BookMyShowThe squad might have been created by Amanda Waller but Rick Flagg is the one who leads them. He is neither a meta-human nor a villain. He is an employee of Amanda Waller and is in charge of keeping these troublemakers in line. He is a highly trained soldier who is in the best of his mental and physical conditions.

Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney)

Suicide Squad - BookMyShowIn case the name doesn’t make it obvious, the villain is known for using weaponized boomerangs to do his bad deeds. He is known to be a racist and a coward. Another one of his traits is his passion for pranks. He is a well-known prankster and his pranks show a hint of resentment against anarchism. He resents the fact that since the meta-humans have stepped into the light, intelligent criminals like him have lost their footing.

Chato Santana/El Diablo (Jay Hernandez)

Suicide Squad - BookMyShowThe quote that prison can change you for the better can be applied to this guy. He has the power to summon flames on his fingertip and he was a part of a gang operating out of Los Angeles. He is shown to regret his past actions and his facial tattoos are just amazing.

Tatsu Yamashiro/Katana (Karen Fukuhara)

Suicide Squad - BookMyShowFans of Arrow have already met this character and know her origin story. For the others, she is an expert swordswoman and a martial artist who is dealing with the loss of her husband. She has been known to be associated with various League-of-Legends-type groups who are known to protect ancient secrets. Her swordsmanship is going to leave your eyes wide open. Her sword is also known to trap the souls of her enemies.

Christopher Weiss/Slipknot (Adam Beach)

Suicide Squad - BookMyShowAs his name says, he is known to have a way with ropes and knots, which he doesn’t use for the good of the society, obviously. Because of his work in a chemical factory, he was able to create a coating for his ropes, which make them virtually indestructible.

Floyd Lawton/Deadshot (Will Smith)

Suicide Squad - BookMyShowHaving accidentally killed his brother when he was young, Floyd walks the fine line between a hero and a villain. He only kills for money and has no regard for his own life, which with his superhuman marksmanship, makes him very dangerous.

Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie)

Suicide Squad - BookMyShowShe proves that people can go mad in love. Once a Doctor at Arkhum Asylum, she fell in love with The Joker and that’s when everything changed. Her first appearance was not in the comic books like the other characters but in the animated series. She quickly gained popularity and since then has also been included in the comic books.

Waylon Jones/Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuouye)

Suicide Squad - BookMyShowHe has a genetic condition that makes him look reptilian but his penchant for killing is definitely not in the genes. His condition has helped him become a sideshow wrestler. He also is not averse to cannibalism.

June Moone/Enchantress (Cara Delevingne)

Suicide Squad - BookMyShowEnchantress is a powerful sorceress who was accidentally released by June Moone and since then inhabits her body.
Apart from the titular squad, you will also meet The Joker (Jared Leto), who is the antagonist in the movie and there is also the appearance of The Dark Knight where Ben Affleck will be reprising his role.
