As fans, we have some favorite characters in every movie. Not all of our true pairings tend to become canon, but that doesn't stop us from shipping two movie characters together. Some of these should-have-been couples are so popular, they even have special names for the pairings.
Even if you're unfamiliar with fandoms and their lingo, you can still see they have a reason why they believe two movie characters should have been together. Whether or not they officially ended up together is irrelevant when so many fanfictions are written about the characters. Here's a list of the characters that should have ended up as a couple, but didn't.
Almost overwhelmingly so, fans love the idea of Dramione. While it wouldn't have worked in the books, but Tom Felton made Draco much more likable. Even Emma Watson had a crush on him while filming the series. These two opposites would have been perfect together.
As with Harry Potter, the relationship couldn't have worked in the books, but in the movies, they would have been perfect for each other. Woody Harrelson's Haymitch and Elizabeth Banks' Effie were close enough in ages in the movie to have become a couple with them kind of being foster parents of Katniss.
They kissed in The Winter Soldier, but never ended up together. Romanogers were very disappointed when Natasha and Bruce Banner became close, but we are still hoping against hope for Cap and Black Widow to end up together.
If only Brand's heart wasn't set on Mann, she would have had a stellar love story with Cooper. They get separated and although we aren't sure if Cooper and Brand would be reunited, we hope they take a romantic interest in each other.
Yet another Nolan movie had a couple that wasn't to be. Arthur and Ariadne spend a lot of time together on the mission and they had the chemistry to make a fantastic couple. Unfortunately for them, their characters were only on the sidelines in Cobb's grand story.
