Movies You Didn’t Know Were Adapted From Books

The whole world knows that finding inspiration for movies from books has prevailed since the longest time. While Nicholas Sparks’ movies, The Fault in Our Stars and the Twilight saga, are recent examples of that, there are some movies that followed the trend quite some time ago. Though the story of the film was not written for the movie per se, some book-to-movie adaptations were a great success. Here are some of your favorite movies, the stories of which were adapted from books you probably did not even know existed.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 days

The movie was adapted from a "saving guide" for women, which stressed upon the don’ts of dating men, in order to not scare them away. The movie was a hit.

Jumanji

The film, which was based on an interesting board game, had released in 1995, and was based on a book by the same name. It was published in the 80s by Chris Van Allsburg.
