You may want to think twice before getting a clown for your kid’s birthday party. John Wayne Gacy, called as “Pogo the Clown” used to entertain kids at parties. He is also known as the “Killer Clown” who was convicted for torturing, raping, and murdering 33 teenage boys and young men from 1972 to 1978.
Gein probably inspired the makers of Silence of the lambs to create the character, Buffalo Bill. Edward Gein had a dark childhood that eventually led him to be obsessed with female anatomy. He would dig up graves, conduct experiments on dead bodies, even indulge in necrophilia and cannibalism. He would also create masks and ‘woman suit‘ out of his victim’s skin.
The Boston Strangler
During the 1960s in Boston, 13 women, aged between 19 to 85 years were assaulted and killed by strangling them with a nylon string. These murders were done by Albert DeSalvo, and this film sketches out the police investigation of this case.
Here’s a film that will show you the psychopathic side of Charles Manson and the Manson Family. In the late 60s, they carried out around a string of murders. The most notorious of them all perhaps was the murder of actress Sharon Tate, then wife of noted filmmaker Roman Polanski. A heavily pregnant Tate was mercilessly stabbed to death by members of the Manson Family.
The Deliberate Stranger
A film about the American serial killer named, Ted Bundy who kidnapped, raped, and killed his victims during the 70s. He was also involved in necrophilia and cannibalism. He later confessed of committing 30 homicides in seven states from 1974 to 1978.
