We all remember the days we had a tummy ache because we didn’t want to go to school, don’t we? But the tummy never acted up if we wanted to watch some TV, no? One could easily recall watching some films over and over again, to the extent of knowing every line, every word and every song by heart.
Now that the IPL season is on, if there is anything that we shall miss for these 40 plus days, it definitely has to be the string of films that we are used to watching on the channel simply because we had nothing better to do. Ab, zyada senti hone ki koi zarurat nahi, let’s revisit our Set Max favorites!
This remake of the Tamil film Suryavamsam, is probably the longest-running Set Max film of all that we’re going to look at. Yes, we saw two Amitjis, no doubt, but guess what, we also witnessed our “Daya, darwaaza tod do” ACP Pradyuman rocking the dance floor with the ladies.
Don No. 1
This Hindi-dubbed Telugu film (Don) gave us some of the coolest lines ever! Consider these gems – “Shukar kar ki tu mehmaan hai is liye bach gaya, nahi toh laat ghooson ki machine mein dalkar pees-peeskar tera keema bana deta” and “Bomb ke liye atom bomb, maarta hoon zyaada, daraata hoon kam” Need we say more? Didn’t think so!
Mawali Ek Play Boy
For those of us who have seen the film, there is something we’d probably agree upon. The song Mogavada Mathi Poyara is the most epically picturized song ever! You could watch it for yourself, if you haven’t seen it already.
Meri Jung One Man Army
This Nagajurna-starrer is probably next to Sooryavansham in terms of its frequency on Set Max. This film gave us some swag-filled numbers like Holi Aayi Holi and La La Lai Ve. Wait, we also witnessed a Govinda-like dance move and the talent of playing an invisible sitar. Woah!
If you miss these films as much as we do, go enjoy them on YouTube!
