Bollywood has been entertaining us with Hollywood remakes for as long as we can remember. Though many tanked at the box office, few films went on to be blockbusters in no time. Wondering which ones? Here are 7 of the superhit Hollywood remakes that you must watch:

Memento – Ghajini

If there’s one actor who could do justice to Christopher Nolan‘s masterpiece, it’s Aamir Khan. Yes, Ghajini was par excellence.

E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial – Koi Mil Gaya

The remake of Steven Spielberg’s classic sci-fi, Koi Mil Gaya was a total entertainer! Hrithik Roshan‘s role and the E.T getting a Bollywood makeover successfully pulled crowd to the theatres.

When Harry Met Sally – Hum Tum

Hum Tum was more like a modern version of Harry Met Sally. Plus, the animated characters brought a unique and a very adorable twist to the romantic comedy.

Patch Adams – Munna Bhai M.B.B.S

Not many are aware, but our very own Munna Bhai is not so original. However, we are not complaining! He totally stole our hearts with his jaddu ki jhappi.

Mrs. Doubtfire – Chachi 420

Robbin Williams is a genius! Nothing can beat his comic timings. But, we loved Kamal Haasan‘s Chachi 420 too.

Nine Months – Salaam Namaste

Though Nine Months fail to make an impression at the box-office, Salaam Namaste raked in moolah with its refreshing screenplay and Saif-Preity‘s lovely chemistry.

The Miracle Worker – Black

Black, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali went on to be a record-breaking film. Inspired by Helen Keller‘s autobiography, the film had several scenes that were similar to The Miracle Worker, which was also based on the same novel.

Those are some of the amazing films that can you watch again and again, whether Hollywood or Bollywood. Spoilt for choice? 😉
