102 Not Out is a timeless comedy that brings together the living legends Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor on screen after 27 years. They were last seen together in Ajooba in 1991 and have never shared the screen space since. In this movie, the 75-year-old Amitabh Bachchan plays a 102-year-old man who is the father of a 75-year-old played by Rishi Kapoor, who is actually 65 years old in real life.

102 Not Out is an adaptation of a famous Gujarati play of the same name. The playwright, Saumya Joshi, turned the play into a feature film as he believes it has universal appeal. This unusual father-son love story has been extensively shot in Vile Parle, keeping intact the Gujarati setting, and the movie has looked impressive ever since the release of the first teaser.

The movie has a unique story and the team behind the movie have also left no stone unturned portraying the same in their promotional approach. The posters and teasers of the movie have been high on quirkiness and fun since the very beginning. Topping the list of promotions is the unique trailer launch which was no less than a campaign on its own. Mr. Bachchan took to Twitter and shared a link along with the caption "HATCH the egg and be the first one to CATCH the trailer of 102 Not Out!". The link leads to a webpage with an unhatched egg. The more people clicked on it, the more it cracked. And after a million hits, the egg hatched and trailer became available to everyone.

This promotional activity created curiosity in the viewers for the highly anticipated trailer and it was exactly how everyone expected it – cool, fun and crazy. Amitabh Bachchan's character wants to break the record for the longest living man but he is not sure if he can do it with his boring son. Rishi Kapoor's character is like almost every old person – he has accepted his old age and does not indulge in anything that he thinks is childish. The two make for a crazy couple with an infectious camaraderie.

There's also a song in the movie where Senior Bachchan is killing it with his rapping skills and spectacular dance moves with people one-third his age sharing the same screen. It is all about bright colors, high energy, and refreshing attitude. The song has also initiated a social hashtag  #MyBadumbaaaStep where fans are dancing to the tunes of the song Badumbaa.

102 Not Out was initially set to release on the 1st December 2017, but to avoid clashes from other big movies the release date of the film was pushed to next year. Now the movie has been slated for a release for 4th May and from the trailer, it seems to be nothing less than epic.
