They never said filmmaking was easy. Firstly, the directors have to get dates of the forever busy actor, then scout for locations and even after completing the shoot, there’s post production work to take care of. Then there are times shooting schedules go haywire due to unforeseen circumstances like bad weather, an injured actor, workers strike and other such reasons. Recently, the shooting of Aamir Khan’s next film, Dangal was disrupted due to the FWICE strike. Hence, even after announcing an official release date, makers often have to postpone it due to such incidents. Here are the some Bollywood films that have been delayed:

Jagga Jasoos
After the success of Barfi, Ranbir Kapoor and Anurag Basu teamed up again for Jagga Jasoos. As the name suggests, the film is about a spy played by Ranbir. Ranbir’s girlfriend Katrina Kaif has been cast opposite him. There have numerous delays and the release date has been changed atleast four times. Now we can hope that the film finally is released next year.
Shuddhi has been in the news for the last three years. Initially, the film was supposed to star Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor but post a fallout, rumor had it they were to be replaced by Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. When that didn’t happen, Salman Khan signed the film but due to reasons unknown, dropped out in some time. Now, it’s officially confirmed that Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt will star in the film. Let’s get rolling now, please?
The film was slated for a 14th August, 2015 release but due to Shah Rukh Khan’s injury on the sets of Happy New Year, the shoot was delayed. Also, it’s reported that a lot of visual effects work is yet to be completed and Fan will now only hit cinemas in April 2016.
This is Abhishek Kapoor’s next film after the critically acclaimed Kai Po Che. It stars Aditya Roy Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. Earlier, Rekha was supposed to play a pivotal role in the film but after the shoot’s completion, she wasn’t very happy with the way her role turned out. She requested the makers to find a replacement and they obliged. Tabu was immediately roped in and the portions had to be reshot. The film will now release in February 2016.
