It has been more than three years since Agneepath (2012), and Karan Malhotra is back again with another action flick, Brothers. The film is an official remake of the hit Hollywood film, Warrior (2011), which starred Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton in the lead. The Hindi remake will star Akshay Kumar,Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez in leading roles supported by Jackie Shroff and Shefali Shah. Brothers promises to be another action film riding high on drama. And if the trailer and the foot-tapping soundtrack don’t have you hooked already, we give you five reasons to watch the film, which releases this Friday.

Back to Basics for the Khiladi
At 47, Akshay Kumar is fit as a fiddle. While we have loved Akki in every avatar, it is always a thrill to watch him pull off an action role with panache. This time we get to see him fight in a ring. Akshay plays David (think Joel Edgerton as Brendan Conlon in Warrior). Action and drama, both of which are right up Akki’s ally. He fits the bill alright. It seems like another blockbuster from Akshay on its way.
No More Boy Next Door
Sidharth Malhotra is on a roll. Movie after movie, this boy is rising high. He plays Akshay Kumar’s younger brother Monty, a role unforgettably essayed by Tom Hardy in the original. Sidharth is performs some serious high-octane fight scenes in the film. He sure has come a long way since Student of the Year.
Jacqueline Fernandez Like You’ve Never Seen Before
Jacqueline is known for glamorous roles. In Brothers, she is all set to surprise with a change of image. She plays David’s wife; a role that is a far cry from what we are used to seeing her as. If rumors are to be believed, it was Salman Khan, her Kick co-star who suggested and convinced Jacqueline to plays the role.
A Hollywood Remake With A Desi Twist
A big-budget film backed by Dharma Productions promises nothing less but a blockbuster. The Hollywood remake is in good hands, as a Karan Johar film rarely lacks the success formula. The desi touch seems to have been added with just the right amount of drama, masala, gaana and all that makes you leave a movie hall satisfied.
Kareena Kapoor’s in an Item Number…Again
The trick that never fails. Kareena Kapoor looks gorgeous as ever in Mera Naam Mary. We wonder how Sidharth kept his eyes off her in the song, because we surely couldn’t.
