Helmed by acclaimed director Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Broken Horses releases this Friday. The film follows two brothers who get embroiled into the drug war at the America-Mexico border. The film stars Vincent D’Onoforio (of Men In Black fame), Anton Yelchin and Chris Marquette. Here are 5 reasons why you should watch Broken Horses:


1.Vidhu Vinod Chopra

Chopra is known for his positive and sentimental film, which often focus on issues affecting the time period they are set in. His film, 1942: A Love Story, highlighted the issues during the partition. Chopra’s other films, Lage Raho Munnabhai and PK, are both satires. He spent a year around California, Texas and Arizona scouting for sets for the movie.
2. James Cameron and Alfonso Cuaron have raved about this movie.
3. Abhijat Joshi has written stellar films like Mission Kashmir (2000), Lage Raho Munnabhai (2006), 3 Idiots (2009) and PK (2014). He is back with Broken Horses!
4.  Vidhu Vinod Chopra has taken tremendous efforts to make this film. Broken Horses has taken 5 years to make. Chopra also met Nic Pileggi, who has written the Academy Award-nominated film, Goodfellas (1990).
5. Oscar-nominated John Debney (Passion Of The Christ) has composed music for the film.
