Kashmir is often referred to as ‘paradise on earth’ and rightly so. The land of maple leaf is blessed with lush hills and fields of red poppies. If you ever happen to be there, we assure you that getting lost in Nature is unavoidable. Kashmir is postcard perfect and it is no wonder that many films have been shot in the welcoming lap of its heavenly abode. Movies like Kashmir Ki Kali, Jaanwar, Junglee, Silsila (among numerous others) have given us spectacular views of Kashmir. Bollywood and Kashmir have shared a great relationship and the trend still continues. These recent films showcase Kashmir in all its glorious splendor.   

The camping and the treks shown in Ayan Mukerji‘s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani claimed the location to be Manali. But these scenes were actually shot in Gulmarg, Kashmir. 
Imtiaz Ali‘s film, starring Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda, was shot in the Aru Valley and Pahalgam.
Priyanka Chopra‘s performance in Vishal Bhardwaj‘s black comedy was exemplary. A song picturized on Priyanka and Irrfan Khan was shot in the mesmerizing locales of Gulmarg, Jallani House and Shalimar Gardens. 
Lakshya was about the Kargil war, and was shot in Kashmir. The rugged landscape has been picturized well. 
Vishal Bharadwaj‘s Haider is set in Kashmir. This political movie has been shot in Sonmarg, Hazratbal and Pahalgam.
