Cat fights are like the little black dress – Never really go out of style! After the Katrinas and the Deepikas it will be interesting to watch the heroines of the 90s battle it out – except this time it will be on screen. Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla starrer ‘Gulaab Gang‘ has these two gorgeous ladies pitted against each other.
This film is full of firsts! The ever-so-bubbly and vivacious Juhi Chawla is to play villain for the first time. Will this different avatar help her bag applause or will the Dhak Dhak girl take it all away, as always?..that only time will tell. The other twist for the viewers is that Madhuri is not in her usual graceful dance avatar either. She is all over the place with heart-wrenching action sequences that are said to leave you breathless! The two are even heard using abusive language in scenes. Now that’s something none of us could quite envisage!
Another fascinating thing to note is the non-glam look spotted by all including the leading ladies. Realistic and raw but absolutely breath-taking. The posters have only built the curiosity here.
Since the film revolves around women empowerment, it would be refreshing to watch the two once-reigning queens of Bollywood perform these roles with much-needed conviction. Since most girls idolize Madhuri Dixit, it would be easier to connect with the story having her leading the troop in a positive character due to the love and respect that she commands.
In spite of having worked during the same era, the two divas have never really worked together before. That would be another first for us. As far as the news goes, the two seem to have really hit it off from the very beginning. But who knows when this bubble is going to burst, or if these two experienced performers are going to show the younger lot to how it’s really done and break the myth on how two female co-stars in the industry can’t really ever be friends!
Madhuri Dixit’s wrath versus Juhi Chawala’s shrewdness. Either way it is a treat for us to watch the two little miss perfect ladies go bad-ass!
