There is no love story like a Bollywood romance. Hero and heroine fall in love, fight all odds, and live happily ever after – this is the classic formula that has worked in Bollywood for years. The stories may vary, but the outcome is always the same. The hero and heroine are meant to be with each other.

But what if they are not? What if the writer/director/producer got it all wrong and paired up the wrong couple? The movie might still work, but the outcome would really suck. There have been instances in Bollywood, when the heroine has actually ended up with the wrong guy. Don’t believe us? Take a look here:

‎Anjali in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai - BookMyShow

A film in which Salman Khan is actually lovable, and thwarted by the girl for another guy! This is what is wrong with Bollywood movies. Aman (Salman Khan) loved and accepted Anjali (Kajol) as she was. Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan) was only interested in her after she gave up her tomboy ways and became more feminine. When Aman realized that Anjali was in love with someone else, he not only let her go, but also got them married. Girls, if you are reading this, Aman is bae. Rahul is 'nae'.

Shanaya in Student Of The Year

Student of the Year - BookMyShow

Sure, Rohan (Varun Dhawan) was the pompous brat and Abhimanyu (Sidharth Malhotra) was the stuff dreams are made of. But don’t judge Rohan by the book. He was born rich, and behaved like any rich kid would. He loved Shanaya (Alia Bhatt), and even befriended Abhimanyu despite his poor background. He tried hard in life to impress his father, who was all praises for his son’s best friend. Naturally, he got jealous. Shanaya could not understand him, but we are with you, Rohan.

Maya in Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna

Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna - BookMyShow

Another woman who left a decent guy for a whiny Shah Rukh Khan. Maya was unhappily married, for reasons we never understood. Rishi (Abhishek Bachchan), her husband, was sweet, kind, caring, and loved her dearly. She didn’t love him back, so she began to see Dev (SRK) who was married to someone else. Dev simply was emasculated by the success of his wife, and decided to have an affair to deal with his issues. Maya actually picked this guy over her husband. Common sense is dead!

Nandini in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam - BookMyShow

Nandini (Aishwarya Rai) was more confused than the average American voter in the 2016 Elections. She loved Sameer (Salman Khan), who loved her back. But their union was forbidden by her parents and Sameer left the picture. Nandini was married to Vanraj (Ajay Devgn), who she couldn’t love back. He decided to reunite the lost lovers, but when she finally reached Sameer, she decided that Vanraj was the guy for her. You do not deserve love, woman!

Sakina in Saawariya

Saawariya - BookMyShow

Finally, Salman Khan gets the girl! Sakina (Sonam Kapoor) was in love with Imaan (Salman Khan), who ghosted her, with the promise that he would return on Eid (sounds shady?). Meanwhile, Raj (Ranbir Kapoor) was head over heels in love with Sakina, but she didn’t want to let go of Imaan. When it seemed like Imaan was not coming back, Sakina decided to tag onto Raj. Girl wanted to have her cake and eat it too! What happened next? Imaan appeared and Sakina ditched Raj. Poor boy even let her go!
