Contrary to popular opinion, three is not always a crowd. A trio can always leave you rolling on the floor laughing. Or atleast that’s what we have been learning in Bollywood films. And no, we are not talking about love triangles. In this case, we mean the genuinely funny ones. They laugh, and make us laugh, and most importantly they always stick together. From Amitabh Bachchan to Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan, all of our beloved superstars have been part of such awesome threesomes on screen. Here is a list of the most hilarious trio’s we have come across in Indian cinema.

1. Amar, Akbar, Anthony – Amar Akbar Anthony

The first name that pops into our minds when speak of Bollywood trio’s are the legendary Amar Akbar & Anthony. A classic lost and found theme weaved into a religious brotherhood story.

2. Aakash, Sameer, Sid – Dil Chahta Hai

Farhan Akhtar’s directorial debut, Dil Chahta Hai. A film about 3 three childhood friends and their roadtrip to Goa. This movie made us cry with happiness, at the same inspiring Goa trips for all teenagers.

3. Meet, Prem, Amar – Masti

Probably India’s first adult comedy, Masti had the three friends trying to take a breather from their boring marriages.

4. Arush,Ali, Tanmay – Heyy Babyy

A story of how three dudes turn into three doting daddies is a hilarious roller coaster ride.

5. Arjun, Imraan, Kabir – Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

They argue. They party. They jump off planes, dive into the sea, fight bulls and dance night off. All together. Set against the background of the picturesque locations of spain.

6. Babu Bhaiya, Raju, Shyam – Hera Pheri
New Bitmap Image
Easily the most hilarious trio of the lot, Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar are brilliant in this movie with their impeccable comic timing, Add to that Sunil Shetty, and the three are like a house on fire.

7. Rancho, Farhan, Raju – 3 Idiots

The movie does complete justice to the title. 3 people from completely different backgrounds come together and work towards making each others lives better. Be it changing speeches, or asking for extra time in an exam, the way they solve problems are as hilarious as it can get.
