The September Sea Of Contrasts

Stars grace magazine covers every month, so what’s different this time? Other than a plethora of riveting articles (Wildest Indian Festivals and Fall fashion 2015) that you have got to read, we noticed a sea of contrasts on the covers. From demure damsels to couture-meets-its-crazy-mistress, the looks of these actresses have left us bewitched. If the ladies are soaked in glamour, the men are no less. They have all cleaned up nicely. Passionate, zesty and full of pep, the September variety is just perfect. These magazine covers are raising the heat this month and why not, after all, winter is coming!

Harping on the right notes
Harper’s Bazaar is killing it this month with great covers for Bride and At Work. While Alia Bhatt went oh-so-forties with sleek hair and an ox-blood dress in Harper’s Bazaar Bride, Kiran Rao was on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar At Work. And she could give some major office-wardrobe inspiration to corporate executives world-over. These issues also have cocktail couture and nine-to-five looks, so if you have a wedding to attend or a glass ceiling to break, this might just be your lucky month!

Juxtaposing Jacqueline
This month the Sri Lankan beauty is on the cover of Cineblitz and Verve. The looks have ethnic-inspirations but have absolutely different feels. While the Cineblitz issue is full of Bollywood scoops, in Verve you’ll find bridal variety.

Man of the hour
GQ and Filmfare went with the men this month. We have Sidharth Malhotra on Filmfare and Varun Dhawan and Shahid Kapoor on GQ! While Mr. Malhotra is playing it cool, the other two stars are fighting for the Mr. Sauve title. Who do you like best?

Sizzling siren or easy chic?
Aishwarya Rai is back! She looks like a red-hot siren on the cover of Hello. In sharp contrast, there is Athiya Shetty, taking it easy in Grazia.

Boho vs Barbie
Katrina Kaif in Vogue India and Kalki Koechlin in Cosmopolitan looked polar opposites. Kalki’s cover gave a bubble-gummish feel, whereas Katrina looked boho-chic. Though the covers are completely different, both magazines have some must-read articles mentioned.
