The sexy heartthrob, Tiger Shroff is in the news again. This time it is not mainly about his action-packed film, Baaghi but for making a strong statement about the origins of the ancient martial art form, Kung Fu. His statement has not just managed to shock Jackie Chan but has also upset the people of China.
In a recent interview, Tiger Shroff commented that Kung Fu originated in India, and was later introduced to China, where it gained popularity.
This is exactly what Tiger said, ”There are conflicting opinions on whether it actually originated from the teachings of an Indian Buddhist monk, Bodhidharma, who arrived in China from India in the 6th century or not. One thing is for certain and that is, he most definitely brought a form of martial arts with him, most likely Kalaripayattu, and transformed the newly formed Shaolin temple and the Buddhist monks settled there into dedicating themselves to Kung Fu and becoming a warrior elite whose fame spread throughout China and then all over the world.”
The origins of this martial art form are poorly recorded in history and so, there are many conflicting opinions about that. No wonder this has created some noise and raised a lot of questions from martial art trainers and the people of China.
After reading Tiger’s statement, Jackie Chan actually wants to meet him and try to understand his point of view better. Now that’s going to be an interesting meeting. If you are wondering what it will be like, don’t worry, we have got you covered! Read on to find out.
