Taapsee Pannu had an awesome 2017 as both her films – Naam Shabana and Judwaa 2 – won her praise. While she played an author-backed role in the spy thriller, in the reprised version of Judwaa, Pannu catered to the masses. She is now back with Dil Juunglee, in which she stars opposite Saqib Saleem.
Dil Juunglee is a romantic comedy in which Pannu plays a rich London-based girl who comes to New Delhi to become a teacher. Saqib will be seen as her student who falls for her after a night out at a club. The film is lighthearted and from the trailer, it looks like there’s more fun and less of drama.
This upcoming Hindi movie marks the directorial debut of ad filmmaker Aleya Sen, who is the co-founder of one of India's leading production houses – Chrome Pictures. The songs from the movie are doing exceptionally well with Guru Randhawa’s Nachle Na all set to become the newest party anthem. Dil Juunglee was initially supposed to release in February but to avoid the clash with Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Welcome To New York, it has been pushed to March. There are very few hyped movies releasing this month, which brightens Dil Junglee’s hopes at the box-office. The movie hits theaters this Friday, so check this space for our review.
