Here we are, 11 years later, waiting for our favorite franchise to release in the theatres around us. Apart from the race to watch it before everyone else, avoiding Avengers: Endgame spoilers is a tight-rope walk by itself, isn’t it?
Running into spoilers is disheartening and can puncture one’s excitement to watch the film untainted. Who’ll understand that better than us? So wherever you are hiding, it’s safe to come out because we are about to tell you seven tried-and-tested ways to avoid Avengers: Endgame spoilers.
1. Mute spoiler words on Twitter
You possibly cannot avoid social media till you watch the film but Twitter makes is simple for you. Go to Settings and Privacy and click on Muted Words. You can add words like “Avengers”, “Endgame”, “Thanos” and other words you can think of. You can also disable Video Autoplay under the Content section to fully avoid the spoilers.
2. Chrome extension Unspoiler is your savior
Add the extension Unspoiler to your Chrome to avoid headlines, Facebook posts, etc. to avoid those wretched spoilers. Click on the plugin button in your browser bar and type “Avengers: Endgame”. Alternatively, you can just type “unspoil Avengers: Endgame” in the Chrome address bar.
3. Going through Snapchat and IG stories is a dangerous game
4. Do not venture near the comments section
What do you expect people to discuss in these sections anyway? Avengers: Endgame is the most anticipated release of the year and you can’t blame them for discussing it on forums. What you can do is avoid these sections.
5. Resist the temptation to eavesdrop or talk to someone who has watched the film
Excited people talk a little too much sometimes. Know this fully well before you ask someone how the film was, as unlearning is impossible.
6. Catch the earliest show, dammit!
Why haven’t you booked already? Breathe in, focus, click on the following button and BOOK RIGHT AWAY!
7. Put your phone in the freezer, cancel the Internet
Go offline when you can. Get some vitamin D, clean your fridge, sit in the corner of your room staring at the wall, or eat an entire bucket of fried chicken. Anything but scrolling through social media.
Bonus tip: With great power comes great responsibility…
This one is very simple. Do your bit, don’t be a duck, and don’t spoil it for other fans. Wield your power well and you shall be rewarded by the Universe.
