If you are afraid of something, one of the best ways to get over the fear is by facing it. The first step to do that is by watching a horror movie featuring your fear. We have curated a list of horror movies that you should watch if you are afraid of these seven things:

Spiders – Arachnophobia

This 1990 film’s title itself tells you that there are going to be a lot of scary spiders in it. This is a black comedy horror film that features a new species of deadly spiders being created that kill the residents of a town.

Blood – The Thing

This 1982 film is a horror classic and has gained a cult following since its release. Blood is a prominent part of the movie and it’s so gory that it was criticized for being repulsive when it first released.

Clowns – It

Pennywise is one of the scariest clowns in Hollywood and if you can face him, you’ll find other clowns relatively less scary. In It, Pennywise is an evil entity that awakens every 27 years. Closed Spaces – Buried

For those who are afraid of closed spaces, being stuck in a coffin could be the most terrifying scenario ever and that’s exactly what happens in this film. In Buried, Ryan Reynolds plays a truck driver who gets buried alive.

Sharks – The Shallows

Killer sharks are featured in a lot of movies and one of them that you can watch to face your fears is The Shallows. The film centers around a surfer played by Blake Lively who has to survive being attacked by a great white shark.

Germs – Contagion

Contagion is more of a thriller than a horror movie, but it will be more spine-chilling than any jump scares for those afraid of germs. This film is about how a terrifying virus is spread worldwide, killing people faster than the discovery of a cure.

Dolls – Annabelle

If dolls are what scares you, then you should watch the horror unleashed by Annabelle. This possessed doll from the Conjuring series has her own trilogy with AnnabelleAnnabelle: Creation, and Annabelle Comes Home.
