After directing the live-action remake of Aladdin for Disney, director Guy Ritchie is returning to the action-crime genre with The Gentlemen, which follows a British drug lord who tries to sell off his empire. The film has an ensemble cast with a lot of actors, many of whom you may recognize. Here’s where you might have seen the cast of The Gentlemen before:

Matthew McConaughey

Matthew McConaughey had been in a couple of romcoms before going big with his Oscar-winning role in the 2013 film Dallas Buyers Club. His next big role was in the first season of the HBO show True Detective, which is considered to be peak television. He was most recently seen in The Beach Bum.

Colin Farrell

Colin Farrell is an Irish actor who has played the lead role in films like In Bruges and Seven Psychopaths. He has also recently worked with Yorgos Lanthimos and starred in two of his films – The Lobster and The Killing of a Sacred Deer. He also played the MACUSA wizard Rupert Graves in Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.

Hugh Grant

Hugh Grant is a renowned English actor who has been in films like Love ActuallyNotting HillAbout A BoyBridget Jones’s Diary, and Four Weddings and a Funeral. He was recently nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance in the limited series A Very English Scandal.

Charlie Hunnam

Charlie Hunnam rose to prominence with his role in the FX show Sons of Anarchy. He has worked with Guy Ritchie previously for King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, in which he played the lead role of Arthur.

You may have seen Michelle Dockery on the show (followed by the movieDownton Abbey. She played Lady Mary Crawley and was a part of the lead cast. She has also been on a few other shows including Godless and Good Behavior.

Jeremy Strong

Jeremy Strong has been in quite a few shows including The Good Wife and Masters of Sex, but he’s grown massively in popularity with his latest television role as Kendall Roy on the HBO show Succession. He was also a part of the ensemble cast of Oscar-winning film The Big Short.

Henry Golding

Henry Golding is a television host-turned-actor who got his big break with Crazy Rich Asians in 2018. Since then, he’s been in A Simple Favor alongside Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick and played Emilia Clarke‘s love interest in Last Christmas.
