The Jurassic Park series has always promised high-octane action and loads of entertainment. The third part was out in 2001 and then there was a long, and we mean a very long gap before the next film of the franchise released. Jurassic World released in 2015 and was a surprise hit. Those who thought the series was dead were taken aback by the insanely successful box-office numbers. After the roaring success of Jurassic World, the studio was quick to announce the sequel. Titled Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the movie is all set to release on June 8, 2018.
Jurassic World showcased what happens when genetically-engineered dinosaurs escape their enclosure in a theme park. They turn out to be a nightmare for the tourists and the fate of the city is in the hands of an ex-military animal expert. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is set three years after the destruction of the theme park, with Owen Grady (Bryce Dallas Howard) and Claire Dearing (Chris Pratt) returning to Isla Nublar. Now they have to save the remaining dinosaurs from a volcano that’s about to erupt.
This series was the second big-scale production for Chris Pratt after Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Besides Pratt and Howard, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom stars Jeff Goldblum, B. D. Wong, Justice Smith, Toby Jones, James Cromwell, and Geraldine Chaplin. The movie is being backed by Universal Pictures and the Hollywood giant is going all out to promote it. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was planned keeping in mind the release date of Avengers: Infinity War, Deadpool 2, and Solo: A Star Wars Story. Will the film do as well as Jurassic World? We have a week to find out. Also don’t forget to check this space for more updates and our review.
