If all were well in the world, today would be the day you would be watching car-blowing action, our favourite cops saving the day, and that Singham entry. But all is not well, and while we are in our homes worrying about a lot of things, we can still have some relaxing time. Sooryavanshi, the fourth movie in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, was going to hit the theatres today. The recently launched trailer had got us pumped for the film. Unfortunately, we have to wait a little longer until we can see what charm Akshay Kumar as Sooryavanshi adds to the universe. For everyone like us who feels dejected by this news, we have a solution that will make this waiting period a little bearable. We have a list of 9 movies that will bring the same adrenaline rush to you while you wait for the world to get back in order.

1. Dabanng

The person without whom the list will be incomplete, of course, gets the first mention. Chulbul aka Robin Hood Pandey (Salman Khan) with his moves and one-liners, will surely make you smile while the climax sequence will give you the blood-pumping action you are craving. Log on to Netflix and go hud hud Dabanng.

2. Holiday: A Soldier is Never Off Duty

Sooryavanshi is far from the first time Akshay Kumar is playing a man of the law, and there are a few more of his movies on the list as well. It was in Holiday that we saw the Khiladi last giving us some of the action moves that had made him so popular in the 90s. Zee5 is the place to go if you want to stream this one.

3. Singham

We did promise that Singham entry and it doesn’t get better than the original. We have seen the movie enough times that we can quote dialogues like “Aata Maaja Satakli” and “Aata Tujhi Baari Aali,” and yet we can’t get enough of this movie. You can catch this movie on JioCinema.

4. Khakee

One of our favourite cop multi-starrers, this movie has Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Aishwariya Rai Bachchan, and Ajay Devgn as a part of its cast. Although the film has a more serious tone comparatively, there are a few light moments here and there. Amazon Prime has fulfilled your wish to see this movie.

5. Dhoom

Abhishek Bachchan as Jai, the cop who was known for his quick thinking supported by the bumbling Ali played by Uday Chopra was the crime-fighting duo we didn’t know we needed. There have been two more movies after this one, but we know in our hearts that the original one was the best. Tune in to Amazon Prime to check this one out.

6. Force

Force is not a movie known for its laughs but it does offer some fantastic action sequences. It follows an investigation conducted by a cop played by John Abraham against a drug peddler played by Vidyut Jamwal. Both known for their strength and agility packed some of the best action sequences in this movie. Watch this one on Hotstar.

7. One 2 ka 4

Shah Rukh Khan and Jackie dada are the dashing duo that is a part of this movie with the ever-delightful Juhi Chawla. This movie is packed with 90s nostalgia and can be found on Netflix and YouTube to be streamed right now.

8. Main Khiladi Tu Anari

Talking about dashing duos and 90s nostalgia, no movie beats the Khiladi and Anari. They churaod our dils (geddit?) with their amazing moves and one-liners. Prime and dine while you are watching this one. You can also watch it on YouTube.

9. Dus

Hunting down terrorists cannot get cooler than this. These are people who got the car chases and walking away from explosions back in the business, and they looked super cool doing this. If you haven’t seen this one yet, watch it on Amazon Prime. For those who have seen it, still, watch it on Amazon Prime.

While we wait to resume our lives, these are good movies to pass your time. Click on “Interested” to get the latest updates about Sooryavanshi and stay tuned for more things you can do while you are working from home. Stay safe.
