This 90’s actor is not getting old with times, that is for sure. The kind of movies he was into had a genre of his own. Slick comedy, his funny as hell facial expressions and the fluency of his dialogs on screen were sure shot winner. Govinda has been a charmer on-screen for sure but seems like the actor hasn't grown beyond 90's style of filmmaking. His upcoming Bollywood film, Aa Gaya Hero’s trailer is out and sends us back to the times when Govinda was the leading actor, setting screen on fire with his amazing expressions and trendsetting dancing skills.
The trailer is full of charm again, has some fight sequences against the bad guys and we see him doing the typical Govinda dance steps. Though the question still remains – are we ready for something which takes us back to Govinda era which is long gone? Govinda must have been and was surely ‘Hero No. 1’ at one point in time but the way audience understands and perceives a film now has changed completely. Maybe the same movie with Salman Khan or Akshay Kumar is a different thing totally, but with him it may take a while to accept and digest.
He was unmatchable in the movie ‘Partner’, which released 10 years back starring Salman in the lead role with him. The film also starred, Katrina Kaif and Lara Dutta opposite to the lead pair, but also hinted that people doesn't want him to try method acting again and again. The movie was hit in the time but, he has been off cinema from quite a long time and now coming back from the dead will obviously be a difficult task.
The film, Aa Gaya Hero, which marks the return of Govinda as a lead actor, is slated to release on 3 March 2017. The actor was also noted getting furious over Karan Johar because his movie Badrinath Ki Dulhania starring Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan will be releasing in the consecutive week. Nevertheless, we hope this comeback of Govinda is grander than it’s supposed to be. May he finds success and his movie makes wonders for him and act as a platform for his return.
