Bhavesh Joshi Superhero hit the theatres last Friday and with Veere di Wedding drawing most of the audiences to the theaters, this vigilante superhero movie has been left somewhat underappreciated.

When the trailer for Motwane‘s superhero vision had first come out, people were ready to believe that Bhavesh Joshi will be Harshvardhan Kapoor‘s first big break. Little did they know, that wasn’t going to be the case.

While I walked out of the theatre, I distinctly remembered Priyanshu Painyuli‘s face. Priyanshu plays the titular character in the what seems to be the first movie of a very potent franchise.

Harshvardhan Kapoor tries hard to strengthen his character of Sikku while Priyanshu makes for a great foundation because of which other actors seem to be flourishing. Bhavesh Joshi Superhero is the perfect example of a movie that displays the evolution of an actor through its course.

Have no doubt, Bhavesh Joshi becomes an incredible experience mostly because of its incredible cast of three friends and an unpredictably vicious local corporator. Bhavesh Joshi’s angst against the system and sheer courage to fight back against an oppressive structure is something that resonates with a huge chunk of our population.

While the movie is still doing well on the box-office, Priyanshu’s future in the industry excites me. Maybe the Bollywood overlords will take notice and help him become a much more reknowned face.

Priyanshu had earlier made his presence felt in the famous webseries by Y-Films called Bang Baaja Baraat. He got mainstream industry attention with Rock On!! 2 and will now be seen on the big screen in Kahani Mitra Ki and Once Again.
