This year hasn’t been great for Bollywood as many big films have underperformed at the box-office. Although in 2018, there’s a stellar line-up of films which seem promising. So have a look at some of the most awaited Bollywood movies in 2018

Baaghi 2

Tiger Shroff is back with the seqeul of his 2016 hit – Baaghi. The second part also stars Disha Patani, Manoj Bajpayee, and Randeep Hooda. The Baaghi 2 release date is March 30th, 2018. Check out our Baaghi 2 review


Varun Dhawan plays the role of Dan in this romantic film by Shoojit Sircar. October also marks the debut of actress Banita Sandhu. The film releases on April 13, 2018. We watched the October trailer and here are our plot speculations

Race 3

Salman Khan plays the lead in the third installment of this hit franchise. Besides him, Race 3 features Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Saqib Saleem and Daisy Shah. The film is directed by Remo D'souza and will release on Eid.

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Sanju stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Paresh Rawal and Vicky Kaushal. The release date of Sanjay Dutt's biopic is June 29, 2018. Watch the Sanju teaser below.


SRK’s next film is titled Zero and its teaser is out. It is helmed by Anand L. Rai and also stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. Zero's release date is December 21, 2018. The teaser of Zero was out sometime ago. 

Thugs of Hindostan

This one's a biggie. The star cast of Thugs of Hindostan includes Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Yash Raj Films is producing this Diwali release.

Sui Dhaaga – Made in India

Varun Dhawan is on a roll. After October, this will be his second film in 2018 and he is paired opposite Anushka Sharma in Sui Dhaaga – Made in India. The film is directed by Sharat Katariya of Dum Laga Ke Haisha fame. Sui Dhaaga – Made in India releases on September 28, 2018. 


Starring Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte, Padman is directed by R. Balki of Cheeni Kum and Ki & Ka fame. The film is based on the life of social activist Arunachalam Muruganantham. Padman was supposed to release alongside Padmaavat on January 25 but will now clash with Aiyaary on February 9, 2018.


Raazi is Meghna Gulzar’s next film after the critically-acclaimed Talvar. Starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, it is based on Harinder Sikka’s novel – Calling Sehmat. The film is being produced by Karan Johar. The Raazi trailer is out now. Watch it below.



Padmaavat was initially supposed to release on December 1, 2017, but has been delayed due to issues with the Censor Board. This Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor starrer will hit theaters on 25th January, 2018. Check out our Padmaavat review.

Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee play soldiers in this Neeraj Pandey film. Aiyaary also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Naseeruddin Shah, and Anupam Kher. It will clash with Padman at the box-office. Aiyaary's release date is February 9, 2018.

Rani Mukerji’s comeback film is titled Hichki and is directed by Siddharth P Malhotra. Her husband Aditya Chopra has funded this project. Hichki releases on February 23, 2018.

Loveratri marks the big screen debut of Salman Khan’s brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma and model, Warina Hussain. The film is set in Gujarat and will hit theatres on October 5, 2018.  


Taapsee Pannu and Rishi Kapoor star in this social thriller by Anubhav Sinha. Mulk has been shot in a start-to-finish schedule in Lucknow. This is the second time the two actors are working together after Chashme Baddoor

Student of the Year 2

Yes, this film will finally be releasing in 2018. Tiger Shroff plays the lead in Student of the Year 2 but the actress isn’t finalized yet. Ananya Panday will most likely feature in this project.

Karan Johar is launching Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar in this Hindi remake of Sairat. Titled Dhadak, it will be helmed by Shashank Khaitan who has previously directed the Dulhania series for Dharma Productions.

Sandeep aur Pinky Farrar

Sandeep aur Pinky Farrar marks the return of the Ishaqzaade couple, Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra. While Kapoor plays the role of a cop, Chopra will be seen as a working woman.
