Bollywood Gupshup: April 2017

Last year, within the first three months Bollywood gave us a number of superhit movies. Neerja, Airlift, and Kapoor & Sons rocked the box-office and met with critical acclaim too. In 2017, no Hindi film has managed to do both. While Raees and Kaabil made money, the critics were far from being impressed. So, basically it has been a thanda year so far but a few movies did manage to make headlines in April. Find out about them below.

Baahubali Roars

Everyone wanted to know, "Why Kattappa killed Baahubali" and they finally got their answer on April 28. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has smashed all records for an Indian film and even the Hindi version is set to earn more money than Dangal. Well, the hard work of S. S. Hindi films Fail

April, in particular, was disappointing as Noor, Begum Jaan, Maatr, Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana and many other Hindi movies were washouts. Noor and Begum Jaan’s box-office performances shocked as both films boasted of a decent star cast.

Baywatch and Raabta Trailers Out 

The fourth trailer of Baywatch released a few days ago. Dwayne Johnson will definitely be visiting India to promote the movie alongside Priyanka Chopra but there are no reports of Zac Efron joining them. Fans also got to watch the trailer of the Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti SanonstarrerRaabta. The film releases on June 9. 

Half Girlfriend and Meri Pyaari Bindu Songs Trend

Mohit Suri's films are known to have a fantastic soundtrack and Thodi Der, Baarish and Phir Bhi Tumko Chahunga from his next movie, Half Girlfriend, are already topping the charts. The tracks of Meri Pyaari Bindu are getting popular as well. Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahin, which marks Parineeti Chopra's singing debut, is doing particularly well.
