The Hindi film industry has a lot of talented filmmakers who have given us the best of Bollywood and they pretty much cater to every genre of movies.
These directors have had the vision and dream to make art ever since they were kids but their childhood photos show a different story.

The man who gave us movies like Gangs of Wasseypur and recently Mukkabaaz was once a shy looking boy. Doesn’t he look adorable and who would’ve known he would grow up to be one of the finest directors the industry has right now. Anurag has been an active part of the industry since 1997 who made his directorial debut with ‘Paanch’ that remains unreleased till date.
2) Karan Johar
The man who introduced romance and family drama to Bollywood like no one had ever before looked extremely cute as a kid and this picture simply shows hows Karan has been very expressive ever since he was a kid. Karan had started assisting Aditya Chopra in ‘DDLJ‘ and eventually made his debut with ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai‘ in 1998. Karan is now a proud father of twins named Yash And Roohi.
Aditya Chopra, son of Late. Yash Chopra is the current chairman of Yash Raj Films and has given the industry gems like ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’, ‘Mohabbatein‘ and ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi‘. Apart from being a director, he is also a very successful writer and producer who is now married to Rani Mukherjee and is also blessed with a baby girl. Born to Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani, Farhan was exposed to Bollywood at a very young age. He started his journey as an assistant director with ‘Lamhe’ and made his directorial debut with ‘Dil Chahta Hai‘ in 2001. 5) Ekta Kapoor
Daughter of Jitendra Kapoor, Ekta has also had a background familiar with Bollywood since her childhood days. He gained the title of ‘Indian Television’s Queen’ after she produced shows like ‘Kyuki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ and ‘Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki’. She stepped into Bollywood with ‘Kucch Toh Hai’ and ‘Krishna Cottage’ and also ‘Kya Kool Hai Hum‘ starring her brother Tusshar Kapoor. Doesn’t she look adorable here with her dad and brother?
6) Zoya Akhtar
Zoya grew up in an environment that has always promoted art and literature. Javed Akhtar’s daughter and Farhan’s sister, Zoya made her directorial debut with ‘Luck by Chance‘ and later went on to direct movies like ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara‘ and ‘Dil Dhadakne Do‘. Farhan Khan started her career as a choreographer and made her debut with ‘Main Hoon Na‘ starring Shahrukh Khan and Suniel Shetty which won her the Filmfare Best Director Award Nomination. She further went on to direct movies like ‘Om Shanti Om’, and ‘Happy New Year‘ both were very successful at the box office. 8) Kamal Hassan
The director of ‘Chachi 420’ has been an active part of the Indian cinema since a very young age. Starting his journey as a choreographer and assistant director, Kamal grew on to be one of the most prominent actors in the South Indian Film industry. 9) Prabhu Deva
Prabhu also ventured into the industry because of his love for dance and eventually grew from a choreographer to an actor and also a director. He gave Bollywood movies like ‘Rowdy Rathore’, ‘Singh Is Bliing‘ and his upcoming movie ‘Dabbang 3’ is on the stage of pre-production.
10) Remo D’souza
We all know Remo has got the moves like Jagger and is one of the best choreographers that Bollywood has ever had. Apart from just dancing skills, Remo has contributed towards acting and direction and his works include ‘A Flying Jatt‘, ‘FALTU‘, ‘ABCD‘. Some of these directors were fortunate enough to be born in families with a Bollywood background while some struggled hard to find their calling but they’ve definitely made it big since their childhood, quite literally.
