After his debut movie Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, Kapil Sharma continued working on his famous comedy show – Comedy Nights. However, between the recent controversies with the cast members and joining a rehabilitation, he disappeared from the limelight. It has been three years since his first film. After the long wait, Kapil Sharma is back with his second feature Firangi with his own production K9 Films. Surely, his fans have missed him and are excited to see their favorite comedy actor perform again.

Kapil's character in this film is drastically different from the one he portrayed in Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon. In Firangi, he plays an innocent commoner Manga who starts working to provide for his family. Set in the pre-independence era, he gets an opportunity to work for a British officer named Mark Daniels (Edward Sonnenblick). Manga believes that there isn't anything wrong with being associated with the Britishers and so he continues to work for them. His family and the fellow villagers, on the other hand, have a different point-of-view regarding his choices. Manga struggles with the consequences while also falling in love with Sargi (Ishita Dutta).

Though the film is set in a historic period, this movie is a light-hearted comedy. Firangi explores patriotism and romance in a new way. The trailer itself has garnered a lot of positive response, with the audience not only praising the cast's acting skills but also the movie concept. We see Kapil's character trying to change the villagers' perception of the British officers and at the same time learning to excel at his job.

So far, three songs from the soundtrack have been launched. The titular hit Oye Firangi along with two beautiful mellow songs Sajna Sohne Jiha and Sahiba Russ Gayiya. It looks like this movie has humor, music, dance and a whole lot of heart!

Stay tuned for our review for Firangi.
