With its glamorous romances and charming love stories, Bollywood has been giving us #RelationshipGoals for decades now and they’re definitely not stopping anytime soon. From Nargis and Raj Kapoor to Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, there are plenty of iconic Bollywood jodis that added chemistry into that world of romance. So with tons of new releases in store, it’s only fair that we get to relive some of these matches made in Bollywood heaven. Let’s take a look at all the classic Bollywood jodis that will be reuniting on the big screen –
(In The Sky Is Pink)
Before Pee Cee was making headlines worldwide, she starred in the Bollywood hit Dil Dhadakne Do with the equally talented Farhan who played her love interest in the film. The two actors are now finally reuniting on screen in Shonali Bose’s October 11 release The Sky Is Pink that is based on the real-life story of motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary who was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 13.
If we could pick one actor that doesn’t seem to fail on the big screen, it’s got to be Ayushmann. One of his all-time best blockbusters has got to be Dum Laga Ke Haisha, which was unlike any other Bollywood romance we had seen before. His undeniable chemistry with co-star Bhumi was evident in this charming film as well as in their next collaboration in 2017 called Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. Now, the duo will reunite in another rom-com with a unique premise titled Bala, which is set to release on the 22nd of November this year.
(In Good News)
After seeing this duo in films like Ajnabee and Aitraaz, it’s evident that along with their undeniable chemistry, they do look great together. Nearly nine years after we saw them together in Kambakht Ishq, Akshay and Kareena have been coupled once again in Good News, which releases on the 27th of December. The laugh-riot family drama will supposedly feature the two as a couple who are trying to conceive a baby.
Ajay Devgn and Kajol
One of Bollywood’s most beloved jodis, this couple has their own real-life love story. They’ve treated us to tons of on-screen romances like in Gundaraj and Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha. We last saw them back in 2010’s Toonpur Ka Super Hero and they’re now headed back to the big screen in Pradeep Sarkar’s period drama. Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior is now all set for a January 10, 2020 release.
There’s no denying that this Bollywood jodi is the perfect dynamic duo with sizzling on-screen chemistry. Akshay and Katrina have delivered several hit films together including Namastey London and Welcome while we last saw them together in 2010’s Tees Maar Khan. The pair will finally be reuniting in 2020’s Sooryavanshi after a decade. The film was first announced at the end of Simmba when Akshay made a surprise entry as Veer Sooryavanshi, chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad.
If this isn’t enough to get all the Bollywood romantics excited, we don’t know what is! Apna Bollywood is about to get super nostalgic with these Bollywood jodis.
