We have seen Bollywood remakes and we have also seen Hollywood take inspiration from Bollywood. Every art form needs a muse and artists can find an inspiration anywhere.

Hollywood might have taken inspiration as many times Bollywood did but here are the Hollywood movies that allegedly inspired creators in Bollywood to think and make an idea their own.

1. AgneepathScarface

Agneepath was inspired by Al Pacino’s ‘Scarface’ and we hate to break it to you but the iconic scene was inspired as well. We’re glad that Scarface inspired Agneepath, it has given us the most iconic character of all time, Vijay Dinanath Chauhan.

 2. A Kiss Before Dying-Baazigar

The iconic scene where Shah Rukh Khan’s character pushes Shilpa Shetty off the roof was an imitated one. The premise is similar, a wealthy man secretly dates a wealthy man’s daughter and she commits suicide and her sister investigates the murder. Now, where have we heard that before?

3. Return To Eden-Khoon Bhari Maang

Return to Eden is about how a wealthy but plain heiress who gets married to this tennis player. He, on the other hand, is that guy who wants the money and her out of the picture. So, he plays her best friend and pushes her off a boat into a lake full of crocodiles. And we all know what happened next, don’t we?   There was nothing more epic than the Rekhaji in Khoon Bhari Maang, girl power goals.

4. Judwaa- Twin Dragons

Twin Dragons starred Jakie Chan was a movie about twins who were separated at birth and reunite as adults and struggle to live normally after they are mistaken for each other. Judwaa 2 was one of the highest grossers of 2017.

5. Satte Pe Satta – Seven Brides For Seven Brothers

A story about a cook getting married to a man who has 6 other brothers who live in his cabin and she begins teaching them proper behavior and how to court a woman. We agree the casting was on point in Satte Pe Satta but we can’t really unsee the resemblance.

 6. Mann- An Affair To Remember

There are similarities in both the stories, in ‘An Affair To Remember’ the protagonists meet on a cruise and both are engaged to other people but they still decide to see each other again. The context and the way both the characters meet is similar, the plot is similar. Of course, a Bollywood tadka was put and we loved the movie.

7. Mohabbatien- Dead Poets Society

Does this sound like Mohabbatien at all? An English professor encourages his students to go against the status quo and break norms. We know it does.

8. Bunty Aur Babli– Bonnie and Clyde

Bunty Aur Babli was about two individuals from small towns who fall in love. They rob and con people for money and become famous, and so was Bonnie and Clyde.
