This weekend Akshay Kumar starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha released in China and earned ₹61.04 cr in 3 days. The movie is being screened in 11,500 screens i.e 56,000 shows in China.

It is the highest for any Bollywood movie ever. It has beaten the opening weekend records set by Bajrangi Bhaijaan($8.75 million) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion ($7.63 million) at the Chinese Box Office.

S.S Rajamouli’s epic Baahubali 2 has only earned $11.9 million i.e. ₹80 crore in its month-long run at the Chinese theatres. It had earned $2.43 million on day one and collected up to ₹75 crores in its first two weeks and only managed to earn ₹5 in the last 20 days.

2. Dangal

Aamir Khan’s Dangal was given 62,000 shows in all and earned $190 million i.e. ₹1,850 crores at the Chinese box office. The frenzy for Aamir Khan was evident with the box office performances of 3 idiots and P.K.

3. Bajrangi Bhaijaan

Salman Khan’s superhit 2015 film released in China in March 2018. The movie was given 19,000 shows only and yet managed to have a decent opening at the box office. The film earned $45.4 million i.e ₹294 crores.

4. Secret Superstar

Secret Superstar was Aamir Khan’s fourth movie that saw a Chinese welcome. The movie earned more than it earned in the lifetime in India. It earned  Secret Superstar $118 million; ₹760 crores.

5.  Hindi Medium

Irrfan Khan starrer earned $31 million; ₹221 crores at the Chinese box office. It also beat Bhajrangi Bhaijaan’s opening day collections in China.

In the past, films like PK have earned $16.75 million, Dhoom 3 earned $3 million, 3 Idiots earned $2.2 million, Happy New Year earned $500, 000 and My Name Is Khan raked $71, 000.
