The Accidental Prime Minister is based on the book of the same name. Since the time the movie has been announced, the audience and the critics have been more than curious to know more about it. Since the time Anupam Kher revealed the look of himself as Manmohan Singh, the buzz has never stopped.

Recently, Anupam Kher shared a photo and we can see him as the former PM Manmohan Singh conversing with Aahana Kumra who plays Priyanka Gandhi.

Anupam Kher has finally introduced the remaining cast of his film. After the reel Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, we got to meet the politicians such as LK Advani, Lalu Prasad Yadav, and Shivraj Patil.

The film is an adaptation of Sanjaya Baru’s memoir of the same name. It is a political drama which presents the story of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

He shared a collage of images on his Twitter handle and wrote, “Introducing Avtar Sahni as #LKAdvaniJi, Vimal Verma as #LaluPrasadYadavJi and Anil Rastogi as #ShivRajPatilJi.:) #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister @tapmofficial @sunil_s_bohra #VijayGutte.” 

In the movie, Aahana Kumra plays Priyanka Gandhi and Arjun Mathur will be seen as Rahul Gandhi. Divya Seth Shah will step into the shoes of Manmohan Singh’s wife Gursharan Kaur and Ram Avatar Bhardawaj will play Atal Bihari Vajpayee.


Akshaye Khanna will be seen in the role of former PM’s media adviser Baru and German actor Suzanne Bernert will play Sonia Gandhi.

Yesterday,  Anupam Kher introduced us to the entire cast of the movie. In the photo featured Anupam Kher, Aahana Kumra, Arjun Mathur, Divya Seth and Suzanne Bernert in their respective characters.

“Introducing the entire political cast of The Accidental Prime Minister. The first of its kind motion picture from India. There are so many people behind our passionate effort. But our director Vijay Gutte has really worked hard. Hope you love our labor of love,” Anupam Kher tweeted.

The picture has the following figures of contemporary Indian political firmament: former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his wife Gursharan Kaur, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, former President APJ Abdul Kalam and former union minister Shivraj Patil.

The film that is slated to release on December 21. It’ll be fascinating to see how this biopic on a politician turns out to be.
