Just when you thought you’ve seen Rajkummar’s best in ‘Newton’, the trailer of ‘Omerta’ is here to prove you wrong.

You know you are in for a visual treat when director Hansal Mehta and Rajkummar Rao come together for a movie and the trailer already has us convinced.

Not like Bollywood has not touched sensitive issues like ‘terrorism’ before but no risk and boldness of this sort has been shown by any director or actor prior to this.

Hansal Mehta, the director of the movie also believes that a movie of this kind was extremely difficult to make in a country like India and someone as humble as Rajukummar Rao, admitted to the fact that this role of definitely one of his best performances.

Rajkummar’s evil smile as Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, a British terrorist of Pakistani descent haunts you even after the trailer comes to an end. Shot in real locations across London and India, the movie shows us the truth and well, it is bound to make one uncomfortable.

Rajkummar actually visited places where Omar would go before his transformation from an LSE graduation student to becoming this deadly terrorist. Rao believed that it was important to feel and touch Omar’s past in order to play his character.

The film garnered excellent reviews at the Toronto International Film Festival 2017 followed by the Busan International Film Festival and a very successful screening of the Closing film at the Mumbai Film Festival 2017.
