‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ is one of those milestones in Bollywood. This film redefined the way a generation looked at romance. Every girl wanted to be Simran and sing ‘Mere Khwaabon Mein Jo Aaye’. Every boy wanted to be Raj and sing’ Tujhe Dekha Toh Yeh Jaana Sanam’.

To be very honest, this movie might just be the reason why we all have unrealistic expectations from our future partner. The way they first met, the fights and eventually falling in love; there is something that makes this movie timeless. The movie is a classic because of the dialogues.

One of the many memorable scenes from the movie is the scene where Simran (Kajol) is walking away and Raj (Shah Rukh Khan) is saying that if she loves him, she will look back. The movie released in 1998.

We came across a scene in Clint Eastwood’s movie ‘In The Line Of Fire’ that released in 1993. The Oscar-nominated movie was nothing like ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’. ‘In The Line Of Fire’ is a thriller that revolves around the assassination of the President and only one man is responsible to save him.

Having said that, there is a scene between Clint Eastwood and his lady love, Rene Russo which is strikingly similar to the one we see Shah Rukh and Kajol enact in ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’. Clint actually says this:
“If she looks back, that means she is interested.”

Cut to the iconic scene in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.

Well,  we don’t think anyone can do it better than King Khan!
