Anushka Sharma starrer Pari released in theatres last Friday, to mixed reviews. While most agree that Pari is definitely better than most Bollywood horror films in recent times, some feel that the film was half-baked and could’ve been better.
The box office collections, however, of the film, have been decent. The film did pick up on word of mouth on Saturday and Sunday, but saw a sharp decline on the first Monday. Currently, the film has collected 21 crore Rs approximately from the domestic market, according to Taran Adarsh.
#Pari Fri 4.36 cr, Sat 5.47 cr, Sun 5.51 cr, Mon 2.14 cr, Tue 1.87 cr, Wed 1.73 cr. Total: ₹ 21.08 cr. India biz.

Based on the investment that has gone into the film, 17 crores doesn’t seem like a bad initial return, considering the film will make money off its satellite, digital, and music rights. It also has the advantage of having a clear run at the box office, as the next big film up for release is the Rani Mukerjee starrer Hichki, and it comes out on the 16th of March.
Meanwhile, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (SKTKS) continues to make hay while the sun shines. The film has made Rs. 75 crores already, and is going from strength to strength.
