Sanjana Sanghi playing has been officially cast as the lead opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in the Hindi remake of Fault in Our Stars. The Debutante will step into the shoes of Hazel Grace Lancaster, the teenage girl who has cancer.

She announced the news on Twitter –

The casting director Mukesh Chhabra spoke to Mumbai Mirror and said, “I met Sanjana while casting for Rockstar and found her to be a dynamic girl with great energy. After a few years, she reconnected for a few ad jobs and this time she came across as a mature young lady and to my surprise, a fabulous actor.

I knew instantly that I would love to make a film with her one day. Once The Fault in Our Stars script was ready, she fit right in. She’s the perfect face and I can’t wait to create magic with this talented girl.”


She has done some cameo roles in Rockstar(2011), Hindi Medium (2017) and Fukrey Returns (2017)

Not only cameos, you might have seen her on your TV screen.

She has appeared in many ad campaigns like Tanishq Jewellery, LeEco India, Stylist on Duty, Close Up,  Gionee, Samsung Pay, Fogg, and Dabur Almond Hair Oil.

In fact, she has even worked with BBC World News as an apprenticeship. 

The model studied at the Modern School and completed her studies in Journalism & Mass Communication at the Lady Shri Ram College. In fact, she was congratulated by Indian Minister Smriti Irani.

Based on a bestselling novel of the same name by John Green, the film revolves around Hazel, a 16-year-old cancer patient and subsequently falls in love with Augustus Waters.
