Some film stars are so dedicated to their craft that they leave no stone unturned for their roles. In order to get into the skin of the character they would be portraying in a film, they aim to look as convincing as they can. For that, they can go to the lengths of shedding or gaining weight, chopping off or growing out their hair, and in some films, wearing just one outfit for the entire duration to make it look as authentic as possible. This is exactly what the Sonchiriya actors did for their upcoming film. Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, Sonchiriya stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Bhumi Pednekar, Manoj Bajpayee, Ranvir Shorey, and Ashutosh Rana.

Sonchiriya is gearing up for a release on the 1st of March, 2019. The film is based in the Chambal region and follows the lives of the dacoits in that area. In order to get the raw and rustic look, stars all decided to continue wearing the same outfit every day till the filming was done. Major credit goes to Costume Designer Divya & Nidhhi Ghambir and
Make-up Designer Shrikant Desai for getting the actors look the part.

Check out some pics from the movie that would show you what the stars looked like in their characters:

Sushant Singh Rajput

The very stylish and good-looking Sushant plays the role of Lakhan, a rebel who works closely with Man Singh, the leader of the rebels. He looks slightly unrecognizable in his look for the film.

Bhumi Pednekar

Bhumi, who is known for her dedication to her characters, has done the same for Sonchiriya too. She plays the role of Indumati Tomar, a woman surrounded by violent and loud-mouthed rebels of Chambal and she looks the part.

Ashutosh Rana

Playing the role of Inspector Virender Singh Gujjar, Ashutosh kills it in the trailer with his dialogue delivery and performance.

Ranvir Shorey

Ranvir plays the role of a staunch rebel called Vakil Singh who believes it’s his duty to protect his caste and community. He would go to any lengths to do so.

Manoj Bajpayee

Playing the role of gang leader Man Singh, Manoj Bajpayee looks raw and rustic in his character.

Catch these baaghis in theatres from 1st March, 2019.
