Sui Dhaaga – Made in India is Sharat Katariya’s second film after Dum Laga Ke Haisha. The director made a smashing debut as the Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar starrer was critically acclaimed and one of the most profitable movies of 2015. Since the movie was so successful, Yash Raj Films has once again backed Katariya’s vision by producing Sui Dhaaga – Made in India. For a particular scene, Varun Dhawan cycled for close to 10 hours in the sweltering heat while Anushka Sharma rode pillion.
The film marks the seventh collaboration between Anushka Sharma and Yash Raj Films while this is the first time that Dhawan is working with the production house.
The Sui Dhaaga – Made in India logo was revealed on August 7 which is celebrated as National Handloom Day. The logo has been designed by artists from across the country and has more than 15 art forms.
Varun Dhawan learned to tailor in order to play the part to perfection. He did end up piercing his finger with the needle on multiple occasions.
