Vidyut Jammwal was a one-man army who fought for love in the first film of the Commando franchise. He then when on to try and eradicate black money in the 2017 sequel. Now, two years later, Jammwal has returned with Commando 3: He Is Back.

Directed by Aditya Datt, the latest film in the franchise is going to be another high-octane action thriller. This film will focus on Vidyut reprises the role of special officer Commando Karanveer Singh Dogra. Karanveer is on a one-track mission to track down a terrorist (Gulshan Devaiah), who has every intention of starting a civil war in India. The trailer opens with Gulshan’s character saying, “Hindustan royega, khoon ke aansu royega. There will be a civil war, main rahun ya na rahun.” Karanveer’s hunt to stop this deadly attack leads him to London where cops Angira Dhar and Adah Sharma join him. Will they be successful in bringing down this mastermind terrorist?

While talking about the preparation of the challenging role of Karanveer Singh Dogra, Jammwal said, “The Commando franchise is all about action, so the aim has been to introduce something new with every film. In the first installment, we incorporated one form of Kalaripayattu in the stunts, while for the second one, I hit the gym to bulk up. Since the film revolved around black money, it was essential to get rid of my lean frame. I wasn’t particularly a fan of beefy bodies, but I trained hard to acquire the look for the film. Now, I return with Commando 3. It required another form of Kalaripayattu, for which I had to return to my lean frame and reacquaint my body with flexibility, which was compromised while bulking up.”

Produced by Reliance Entertainment and Motion Picture Capital in association with Sun Shine Pictures and Vipul Amrutlal Shah Production, Commando 3 is all set to release on November 29.
