King Khan’s Zero has been the talk of the town since the day of its announcement which goes back to 2012 when Aanand L. Rai quoted that he wanted to “live life from the perspective of a dwarf” [sic]. The movie created a roar with its title announcement where we saw SRK in his peculiar avatar for the very first time on 1st January this year. Since then there have been many promotional activities that have only added to the craze of Zero, including the Salman Khan teaser that was released in June and the posters featuring the lead actors.

In the movie, SRK plays a happy-go-lucky man Bauua, who manifests dwarfism and is in search of love and his bride. He meets Afia (Anushka Sharma), who is specially-abled and he pursues her. We also see Katrina Kaif‘s character who is a celebrity and looks beyond stunning. The trailer tells us a lot about the film’s story but holds back on the actual plot. Both the leading ladies are seen wearing a bridal outfit but from the trailer, it is quite evident that neither of the marriage ceremonies take place.

The trailer is a roller coaster of emotions, comedy, and fun. There’s romance in the typical Shah Rukh Khan style regardless of the size of his character. Zero might not have any value by itself but this movie seems worth a million bucks.

Zero has not only reached the optimum height of hype (pun not intended) amongst the fans but it also created a milestone with its trailer launch. The event happened at Imax Wadala where the movie team has created a replica of the city Meerut and not only the media but even fans were invited to witness the launch first hand. This has happened for the very first time in Bollywood on that large a scale.

As Karan Johar said, Zero has blockbuster written all over it. Watch the trailer and you’ll know why. It has only made the anticipation higher and the wait harder for everyone. Make a note of the date – 21st December is when Zero hits the theatres. Till then, keep watching the trailer and visiting this space for more info on the movie and our review.
