Director: Abhay Chopra

The official remake of the 1969 Yash Chopra directorial with the same name, Ittefaq is one of the most awaited suspense films of late. The crime-thriller that is being co-produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, Dharma and B. R. Studios and directed by B. R. Chopra’s grandson, Abhay Chopra, will not be a direct rip-off of the original. The 1969 Ittefaq was considered as one of the path-breaking films for actors Rajesh Khanna and Nanda.

Background & Story:

It is a gripping story of a double murder case which is being overlooked by Officer Dev (Akshaye Khanna). Maya (Sonakshi Sinha) and Vikram (Sidharth Malhotra) are the two witnesses of the murders and also the two prime suspects of the fateful night. Both Maya and Vikram have very different stories of the night and Dev is torn in between the two versions of the story to find out the truth.

What To Expect:

Since the makers have promised this one not to be a replicate of the original, this one is going to have a surprising end even for those who have watched the Rajesh Khanna starrer. The trailer itself keeps you hooked to your seat and it makes the wait for the movie even more difficult.

Sonakshi and Sidharth will be sharing screen space together for the first time and you can see their impeccable chemistry in the trailer itself. Akshaye Khanna has been seen before as a serious and stern cop in Mom and we absolutely loved him in character. Not to be forgotten, the unmissable moustache makes him look extra hot.

So go to your nearest cinemas this weekend (3rd November) and find out who the real killer is and whether it really is an Ittefaq. Also, don't forget to read our review of the movie.

Until then check out the exciting trailer below.
